Terms of Service

Last updated 31 July 2026

Draft pending legal review. These terms describe our intended commercial practices in plain language and must be reviewed by an Ontario lawyer before launch. The binding terms for any booking are the ones in your signed service agreement, not this page.

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the There For You website. Childcare services themselves are governed by the written service agreement you sign before your event. If the two ever conflict, the service agreement controls.

Using this website

You may browse this site and submit enquiries for genuine purposes. Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, submit false enquiries, scrape it for bulk data, or use it in any way that breaks applicable law.

The content, design, brand name, and logo on this site belong to There For You. You may not reproduce them commercially without our written permission.

Quotes and pricing

Prices shown on this site are starting points in Canadian dollars, before applicable taxes, and are not offers capable of acceptance. Your actual price depends on the number and ages of children, total hours, your venue, and any add-ons.

A quote we send you is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. Nothing is confirmed until you have signed a service agreement and paid the deposit, and we have confirmed the date in writing.

Bookings, deposits, and changes

A booking is confirmed when we have a signed service agreement and the deposit. Full payment terms, deposit amounts, cancellation windows, and date-change provisions are set out in that agreement, and we will walk you through them before you sign.

In general: deposits are transferable to a new date subject to availability, and cancellation terms depend on how much notice we have. Talk to us as early as possible — we would much rather move a booking than lose it.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate, complete information about each child, especially allergies, medical conditions, and medications. We rely on this to keep children safe.
  • Keep the authorised-pickup list current, and tell the lead caregiver if it changes during the event.
  • Confirm that your venue can provide a suitable space and load-in access as agreed.
  • Remain contactable and on-site or nearby for the duration of care.
  • Collect your children by the agreed end time.

Our responsibilities

  • Provide caregivers who have cleared our full screening process.
  • Maintain the staffing ratios published on this site: 1:2 for infants, 1:4 for toddlers, 1:6 for school age.
  • Maintain commercial general liability and professional childcare liability insurance.
  • Contact you promptly about any injury, illness, or incident involving your child.
  • Set up and fully strike the space, leaving your venue as we found it.

What we can't accommodate

For everyone's safety, we may decline or discontinue care for a child where we cannot safely meet their needs with the team booked — for example, undisclosed medical needs requiring one-to-one clinical care, or behaviour that presents a risk to other children. If this happens we will contact you immediately and stay with your child until you arrive. We would always rather have this conversation in advance, so please tell us about any specific needs when you book.

We also cannot accept children who are unwell with a contagious illness, and we may ask that a child be collected if symptoms appear during an event.

Photography

Photography is opt-in only and never a condition of care. See our privacy policy for how consent works and how to withdraw it.

Liability

We take reasonable care in providing our services and carry the insurance described above. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. The specific liability provisions applying to your booking are in your service agreement.

This website is provided as-is for information. While we keep it accurate, we don't warrant that it is error-free or continuously available.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes fall to the courts of Ontario.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. The terms in your signed service agreement are not changed by updates to this page.
